Minerva has been chosen as one of the speakers at Globis University’s “Breaking the Glass Ceiling – a panel discussion with female business leaders.” This was facilitated by one of the Globis lecturers Ms. Megumi Taoka.

It was an interactive discussion where Minerva, and 2 other female business leaders, shared their experiences, challenges, goal settings and rewards as career women and how they were able to break their respective “glass ceilings”. Ms. Taoka first gave some points on how everyone can effectively recognize their gender biases.

With Minerva’s global experience in managerial positions and her expertise in talent development and cross culture, she was able to share her personal and professional struggles as a woman, and how she overcame them.  She also gave specific examples of the many challenges women in Japan are still facing today.

Finally, participants asked various questions and there were lots of takeaways on the benefits of promoting talented female leaders and on how to empower themselves and their female colleagues in breaking the glass ceiling barrier.
